Lumala-og is a barangay approximately 400 meters far from the poblacion of Las Navas. Despite its close vicinity, accessibility is still a prevalent problem for its inhabitants since it is separated from the town with the river.

Babellyn Lemonera, a resident of the village, said that they have to use small boat to buy goods from the town. “Makuri gad kun may-ada sayo nga emergency (It’s difficult when there is an emergency,” Lemonera lamented.

Gil Ong, the village chief, said that he is thankful the provincial government approved already their long-time request for an access bridge to their barangay. “Dako gud san amon pasalamat sa gobernador nga gintagan kami sini nga proyekto (We really thank the governor that he gave us this project), “Ong said.

He is already on his final term as Barangay Chairperson and is running for municipal councilor this coming May 9 elections.

The village is also a recipient of a 2-classroom school building from the Payapa at Masaganang Pamanyanan (PAMANA). The building completes the room requirement for a full 6-grade elementary in the barangay.
