Regional command commends San Policarpo PNP for drug bust

Camp Kangleon, Campetic, Palo, Leyte – The Police National Police (PNP) Office VIII through P/CSupt. Jose Erwin Villacorte, PNP Regional Director, handed down a commendation medal also known as “Medalya ng Papuri” to the elements of San Policarpo PNP after the latter made a successful drug bust operation in the said municipality last month. 

San Policarpo MPS headed by PSInsp. Rommel Cecista maintained peace and order in their area of responsibility during the conduct of Local and National Elections last 9 May 2016. 

Headed by PS/Insp. Rommel Cesista, San Policarpo Chief-of-Police, the authorities arrested Norberto Moratal, a known drug dealer, in the village of Japunan. Confiscated from the suspect was .22 gram shabu, drug paraphernalia and cash amounting to P2,680. Also recovered from the suspect are 1 unit .38 caliber pistol, 5 pieces live ammunition for .38 cal pistol and 10 pieces live ammunition for .45 cal. 

The Commendation Medal was awarded to San Policarpo PNP personnel “for their commendable performance of duty as elements of MPS, ESPPO during the conduct of buy-bust operation and subsequent arrest of the suspect.” 

Apart from Cecista, those who were awarded were SPO2 Ronald Montallana, PO3 Joey Ortiguesa, PO2 Alvin Evardone, PO1 Jundyle Cular, PO1 Lolito Garciano, SPO3 Erwin Moslares, SPO1 Allan Ladic, PO3 Ryan Alcantara, PO1 Nikki Tomenio and PO1 Mario Mugar.

“This accomplishment is a manifestation of their unwavering commitment to render the best police service to the community, thereby earning credit and prestige not only for themselves, but for the whole PNP as well,” the order said.
