Exemplary employees tagged during Gen. MacArthur’s 69th Founding Day

Gen. MacArthur, Eastern Samar – The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Gen. MacArthur in Eastern Samar has recognized the hard work and exemplary services rendered by some of its employees as part of the highlight of the 69th Founding Anniversary of this municipality on 22 June 2016.

Board Member-elect Jaime Ty, outgoing municipal mayor, cited 16 LGU employees as “having exemplary service rendered to the people of Gen. MacArthur. 

Employees given the Certificate of Appreciation were Engr. Isruel Magno, Oscar Cablao Sr., John Jerald Miranda, Marianita Cablao, Ruben Dala, Concepcion Edles, Lucia Altar, Marcela Catayong, Dr. Corazon Miflores, Ronaldo Rafael Carsido, Salvador Anaba-ab, Sharon Gloria, Natividad Plaba, Riza Renato, Emmalyn Sumono and Charmela Dincol. 

Gen. MacArthur is a fifth class municipality in the province with a population of 12,214 as of 2010 census. It was created as a town by virtue of Republic Act 193 on 22 June 1947. It is politically subdivided into 30 barangays. 

Mayor Ty will step down as graduating chief executive on 30 June 2016 after three terms in office and will sit as member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan after winning a slot in the recently held 2016 National and Local elections. 

His wife, Flora Ty, will replace him as the municipal mayor on 1 July 2016. (Bryan Azura)
